Ideology, ethnicity, religion and oil - Sudan is a country long afflicted by conflict. Once the largest and one of the most diverse states in Africa, Sudan split last year into two countries after two rounds of civil war that killed millions and displaced many more. But tensions continue - outside Sudan with its new southern neighbour and inside in the restive border regions. Katya Adler talks to Sudan's Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Abdullahi Alazreg. Amid war, loss of land and vital oil revenues, a nose-diving economy and an arrest warrant from the international criminal court for Sudan's President, is the regime at breaking point?
