An excited Ian confides to Lucy he’s bought back the cafe. Lucy and Carol try to guess the cafe’s new name. Ian says he’s sticking with tradition. Lucy convinces Mandy to come to the opening as Ian’s bought the café for them to run as a family. Dot thinks Ian’s named the café after Lucy. At the opening, Lucy’s devastated when Ian reveals the new sign – ‘Mandy’s’.
Lola’s furious with Billy and fears her baby will be taken away if he goes to prison. Mandy reveals she gave Billy an alibi but swears him to secrecy as she was with Alex at the time. Lola’s packing her bags when Billy reassures her he’s going nowhere. Enraged by filthy looks from Ian, Lola announces to the café that Mandy saw Billy at the time of Heather’s murder when she was with another man.
Shirley and Andrew continue Heather’s murder investigation. Billy apologises to Andrew. Ben worries Shirley won’t ever stop talking about Heather. Shirley declares she can’t rest knowing Heather’s killer’s at large.
Bianca’s cosmetics arrive. Tiffany sulks that they can’t afford the cinema, Bianca invites Shenice for dinner. Struggling to sell her make-up, Bianca agrees to clean out Heather’s flat for Michael. She finds a cupboard full of food but Michael bins it as a health hazard. Although Bianca goes without food, dinner’s pitiful. Tiffany bins it and gives Shenice one of Bianca’s lip glosses.
Roxy suggests Alfie give Derek money to appease him. Jean loans Alfie her scratch card winnings when Roxy lies Alfie needs money for Spencer but Derek refuses the cash - he’s owns Alfie now.
Janine’s hormonal and tearful. Lola pleads for Billy’s job back. Janine sobs and agrees that Billy’s on half pay until he’s paid back his debt.
