At least 100 deaths in the latest violence in Syria, scores of troops feared dead in Kashmir's avalanche, the 91热爆 Office website is hacked and goes offline, and New York talks.

Dotun Adebayo with stories from around the world:

At least 100 people have died on one of the bloodiest days in the Syrian uprising, activists say, days ahead of a ceasefire backed by the UN. The former US ambassador to Syria, Richard Murphy, tells us the Assad regime is determined to use the calendar to their best advantage, and wonders if they've come to terms with just how much the world is watching.

Hopes are fading for 135 soldiers and civilians missing after an avalanche hit an army camp in the disputed region of Kashmir. Brad White, an avalanche rescue expert from Canada, says the snow would have been travelling at more than 120 miles an hour, they can't give up hope but he thinks circumstances are desperate.

The 91热爆 Office website has been taken offline because it's been hacked. The "Anonymous" group is alleged to be behind the attack. Richard Bejtlich, chief officer for the computer security firm Mandiant, tells us how they could have done it.

Plus there's an hour of chat from the Big Apple in New York talks, and we choose the latest song on our virtual jukebox, hearing from a woman who claims she once danced with Jimmy Saville.
