The Easter holidays are in full swing and a bank holiday weekend's coming up - a time when step families might spend more time with each other than usual.

One in three Scottish families are now part of a "blended" family, so are attitudes changing and step-families becoming more accepted? Or are we still too focused on the ideal of happy ever after, 2.4 children and the nuclear family?
