Kaye asks if you would join Friends of the Union, and whether we should introduce baby hatches in the UK.
On average it is thought that around 50 babies are abandoned in the UK each year. In other countries - including Germany, Italy, China and Pakistan - hospitals are equipped with baby hatches so that mothers can leave their newborn babies safely if they decide they don't want to keep them. Should we follow suit?
Kaye is joined by Alley and Iain who were abandoned as babies in Grangemouth by the same mother, 18 months apart back in the 60s. However, they hold vastly different views about whether or not we should introduce baby hatches in the UK - Alley campaigns for them, while Iain argues that they would lead to women abandoning their newborns without thought...
