George Papandreou - Prime Minister of Greece, 2009-2011

After Greece's second financial bailout, Zeinab Badawi talks exclusively to the country's former prime minister, George Papandreou, and asks if bankruptcy is inevitable.

The EU, IMF and European Central Bank have approved a second bailout of 130 billion Euros for Greece and a partial write off of its 350 billion Euro debt.

In return the coalition government must impose tough austerity measures on an angry people who say that they have been suffering from tough budget cuts already.

George Papandreou is the former Socialist prime minister who resigned amidst the chaos of the debt crisis in November. He talks exclusively to Hardtalk. Can Greece avoid going bankrupt or are they just delaying the inevitable?
