Poileasaidhean air deoch là idir ann an Èirinn
Tha an deoch-là idir na bhun-stèidhe do dhearbh-aithne na h-Alba agus na h-Èirinn, ach tha riaghaltasan san dà dhùthaich a-nis a’ feuchainn ri oidhirpean a dhèanamh gus lùghdachadh na tha an sluagh ag òl. Lagh ùr air sgudal ann an Albà inia
Bho linn nan Comunach tha trioblaidean mòra air a bhith aig Albà inia len cuid sgudail. ‘S ann air a thiodhlacadh fon talamh no dìreach air a' shadail air falbh a tha moran dheth an drà sta. Tha an riaghaltas a-nis air lagh ùr a chruthachadh a leigeas sgudal à dùthchannan eile a-staigh airson ath-chuairteachadh, le dòchas gun toir e piseach dhan ghnìomhachas. Ged a tha an riaghaltas ag rà dh nach tig ach stuth glan a ghabhas ath-chuairteachadh, tha tòrr Albà inianaich feargach gu faod tuilleadh sgudail tighinn gu dùthaich aig a bheil cus dheth mar tha. Tha Darren Linc air a bhith ann an Albà inia a’ rannsachadh na cuise.
New law on waste in Albania
Since the final years of the Communist era Albania has struggled to deal with its waste. Much of it is buried or thrown onto heaps which appear regularly at the roadside. In an attempt to address this the government has approved a law allowing waste to be imported from companies abroad for recycling, in the hope that this will boost the industry. The government says that only certain types of clean waste suitable for recycling will be allowed in, but many Albanians see the plan as a naïve move which could see more waste being foisted upon a country with more than its share already. Darren Laing reports this week from Albania.
