A commission of experts recommends that terminally ill people with less than a year to live should be allowed to end their lives with medical help.
A panel of experts has recommended that terminally ill people in England and Wales, with less than a year to live, should be allowed to end their lives with medical help. A report, funded by campaigners for assisted suicide, suggests that people would need to be assessed independently by two doctors before they were allowed to take the necessary medication themselves. Victoria speaks to the chair of the Commission the former Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer, Tony Nicklinson who has locked in syndrome and wants to die, and the paralympian Tanni Grey Thompson who is against a change in the law.
