Among those hoping to compete are Britain's Steph Twell, a three-time European junior cross country champion who is currently on the comeback trail after suffering a badly broken ankle at the beginning of the year. But competition will be fierce with Portugal's Jessica Augusto back to defend the title she won in 2010. In the men's race, Sergiy Lebid of the Ukraine has his sights set on an amazing 10th European Cross Country title.
