Iolo starts amongst Iron Age hill forts, finds ravens nesting in a gorge in the Brecon Beacons, explores the Rhinogau mountains to hear ring ouzel and whinchat, visits the huge wood ant nests of Coed-y-Brenin before joining soldiers training at the Epynt army range - where amongst all the action, redstarts and crossbills can still be found.
