Inside Out investigates why thousands of people are wrongly assessed as fit for work. And after a year of weather records, Alex Dolan asks if our weather is becoming more extreme.

David Whiteley with untold stories from the East of England.

The government is planning to cut billions of pounds from benefits - disabled people must have a test to see if they are eligible for a new sickness benefit. But thousands of people have successfully appealed the results that found them fit for work. We meet one claimant who should never have been assessed as fit to work

Alex Dolan asks if our weather is changing. Over the past year records have been set for cold, drought and heat. Is this the first sign that our weather is becoming more extreme?

And the story of the 'Thankful Villages'. Across the country, there are hundreds of memorials to those who died in the Great War. A few villages have a different WW1 memorial - giving thanks for the safe return of all of their soldiers. We visit one of the 'Thankful Villages', East Carlton in Northamptonshire and meet the great nephew of one of the men who survived.
