Sarah Montague talks to the director Ken Loach, who turned 75 in 2011. To celebrate 50 years of his film-making, the British Film Institute is holding a retrospective of his work. The centrepiece is a documentary about Save the Children, and it was partly funded by them, but when they saw what Ken Loach had made they were horrified and stopped it from being aired. That is until now. Decades later, Loach is still uncompromising and controversial.
