Sixteen finalists battle for one of eight places on a unique expedition to South America in the footsteps of Sir Walter Raleigh. To test how they would cope with the extreme adventure, the finalists are pushed to the limit in the toughest ever Serious boot camp.

The would-be adventurers face terrifying challenges, from tightrope walking hundreds of metres above the raging sea to confronting snakes and tarantulas. In the coldest conditions for a hundred years, the audition concludes on Dartmoor with a swim across a frozen lake.
