The ratings agency Standard & Poors has downgraded Italy's sovereign debt rating from A+ to A, signalling a lack of confidence in the country to get its economy back under control.

The Consumer Council for Water says complaints about water companies actually fell for the third time in a row last year.

Finally, a diamond larger than a golf ball is to be unveiled in South Africa. It is the world's 14th largest rough white diamond.
