The leaders of Germany and France are meeting to discuss what can be done to solve the ongoing debt crisis and the latest set of monthly inflation figures are out.

The leaders of Germany and France - Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy - are meeting later to discuss what can be done to solve the ongoing debt crisis.

The latest set of monthly inflation figures are expected to show a slight rise in the cost of living, despite the recent falls in food and petrol prices. We will also find out how much rail fares have increased by - with fares in England and Wales expected to go up by 8% in some cases.

Finally, internet giant Google has bought the mobile phone manufacturer Motorola Mobility, in a deal worth 拢7.7 billion pounds.
