Dot’s tired and Edward finds her asleep in the launderette. She tells him Jim’s back, and being demanding. Edward suggests they watch a film together that afternoon. Dot agrees, thinking Pat and Patrick are joining them, but Edward fails to invite them. Edward brings a DVD and player, and they settle down to watch the film alone. Soon, Edward takes Dot’s hand, but she snatches it away. Edward tries to get Dot to admit there’s something special between them, but, guilt ridden, Dot can’t and instead tells Edward to go and never come back.

Jack and Ronnie are awkward around one another. Jack wants to stay at home with her, but Ronnie tells him she’ll be fine alone. Shocked that Ronnie’s at Jack’s, Michael spends the day filling Jack’s mind with doubt – reminding him how many people are unhappy that Ronnie’s come back, and what they will think of him. Jack tells Ronnie she’s going to have to leave.

Fatboy tries to compose a wedding day rap. Kim realises something’s not right between Fatboy and Mercy. Fatboy tells her they’re only marrying so Mercy can stay in the country, but admits he loves Mercy and wants to marry her for real.

The Minute Mart’s burgled after Zainab leaves the back door unlocked. Patrick returns from holiday and resists Denise’s efforts to get him straight back to work. Alfie persuades Patrick to become the Vic’s pot man.

Still hopeful about their chances of adopting, Christian starts looking for a bigger flat, but Syed’s less confident. Finding Zainab upset, Syed takes her back to the flat. Zainab confides in Syed, telling him what’s going on between her and Masood. Later, Zainab’s horrified when she realises Syed’s told Christian everything.

Tanya reopens the salon, having changed the name back to Booty.
