Frustrated travellers are hoping for a reprieve as the Icelandic ash cloud is expected to move out of UK airspace. British Airways, Flybe, easyJet, BMI and Aer Lingus were among carriers who had to axe services and they are angry about the reasons for it. We find out more from Roger Guiver, a former British Airways captain.

The IMF's executive directors for five key emerging economies have called for a non-European chief. They are claiming it would reflect the changing realities of the global economy. Lord Desai, professor emeritus of the London School of Economics shares his thoughts with us.
