Lord Grade, Michael Grade, has done it all in his media career. Starting at LWT, he's been in charge of 91热爆 One in the 80s, was branded 'pornographer-in-chief' at Channel 4 in the 90s, rejoined the 91热爆 to become chairman, and then left to overhaul ITV. He tells Richard about his Media Society award for outstanding contribution to the media, as well as his recent 91热爆 Four series The Story of Variety, looking back at the almost lost world of Britain's variety theatres.
