Wales Special

Live from Cardiff ahead of the Welsh Assembly elections, with special guest, Doctor Who's Matt Smith. Plus Welsh Assembly members, first time voters and a trip.

Live from the Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff, 5 live's chief political correspondent John Pienaar looks ahead to the Welsh Assembly elections on May 5.

Politicians representing Plaid Cymru, Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats debate the issues, and we get the views of first time voters.

5 live's Mark Hutchings takes the controversial subsidised flight that runs between Cardiff to Angelsey to talk to business leaders about what they want from politicians to help their businesses grow and develop.

And Matt Smith, star of Doctor Who which is filmed in Cardiff, talks about the new series and the political allegory in the storylines. The first show is set in the Oval Office at The White House at the time of President Nixon. Matt also discusses his work as a patron of the National Youth Theatre and supporter of the Starlight Children's Foundation.

Each week, John invites a member of the public to join the discussion. To be John's member of the public on a future show, tweet John @JPonpolitics.
