The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment under the baton of Sir Roger Norrington, a period instrument expert, feature a wide and rich palette of the German composer's music mixing symphonies and concerti, highlighting the significant role he played in bridging the earlier Baroque period and the later Classicism of Mozart and Haydn.
