In North Wales cases of heating oil thefts have trebled over the last few months. Rachel Treadaway-Williams visits an area of Flintshire which has been hard hit by oil thefts. When her mother was due to arrive home from hospital after a hip operation, Suzanne Nicols made sure she had a full tank of oil ready to heat her home. But during the time it took to collect her mother from hospital thieves had drained her oil tank. Rachel discovers how community halls, churches and chapels are also being targeted and finds out how local police are tackling the problem.

When Lianne Roberts's Vauxhall Meriva broke down, it cost her almost 700 pounds to repair the camshaft bolts at her local garage in Neath. Just days later, the manufacturer began recalling the Meriva because of a manufacturing defect with the bolts, so Lianne expected her repair bill would be refunded. Lucy finds out what Lianne's rights are, and finds out why Vauxhall withheld the refund because her car didn't have a full service history.
