The US government has announced it's to sue British oil giant BP and eight other companies for billions of pounds for allegedly breaking federal safety regulations that led to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill earlier this year. We speak to Dr Greg Stone, the director of coastal institute studies at the Louisiana State University, about what the US Government is seeking to achieve.

European heads of state including the Prime Minister, David Cameron, are meeting in Brussels today and on Wednesday one of the big ratings agencies puts Spain in its danger list.
