Seòladair Gearmailteach bhon Dàrna Cogadh

Seòladair Gearmailteach bhon Dàrna Cogadh

Ann an 1945 lorg Aonghas Mac a' Phì corp seòladair Gearmailteach air a' chladach san Eilean Sgitheanach far an robh Aonghas a' fuireach aig an àm. Cha robh e ach 17 bliadhna ach dh'fhàg seo buaidh air fad a bheatha. Bha e airson barrachd fhaighinn a-mach mu cò bha san duine seo. Aig an aon àm cha robh fios aig teaghlach an t-seòladair gun deach a lorg. Bha iad riamh a' smaoineachadh gun deach a chall aig muir. Fhuair Eorpa lorg air a chuideachd agus thug sinn cothrom do dh'ogha a pheathar, Jessica Lucht, tadhail air an àite far an deach a lorg agus coinneachadh ris an duine a lorg e. Tha am fear-naidheachd Gearmailteach, Andreas Wolff, cuideachd a' tadhail air baile Neumünster far an robh an seòladair Karl-Heinz Golz a' fuireach.

Second World War German submariner

In 1945 while he was living in Skye Angus MacPhee found the body of a German submariner on the shore. Angus was only 17 years old at the time but what happened had a lasting effect on him. He wanted to find out more about the man he had found. In the meantime, however, the submariner's family did not know that his body had been found and thought that he had been lost at sea. Eorpa traced the German sailor's relatives and gave his great-niece, Jessica Lucht, the opportunity to visit the place where he had been found and to meet the man who found him. German reporter Andreas Wolff also visits the town of Neumünster where Karl-Heinz Golz used to live.
