Negotiations at the G20 over trade imbalances between China and America have hit problems.

The government is launching a new bonus scheme to encourage local authorities to build more homes. It's after an angry response from the housing industry to cuts in central government spending on new social housing by more than half, and a decision to scrap targets for new building.

Rolls-Royce is be giving an update today on the much publicised fault with its Trent 900 aircraft engine. It all started last week when a Quantas aircraft made an emergency landing following an engine blowout. It's since grounded its fleet of A380s. We speak to Dr Emanuel Gomes, a principal lecturer in corporate strategy at Coventry Business School.

And Edinburgh's Parliament will be debating how to reform Scotland's banks, including RBS and Bank of Scotland. Owen Kelly, chief executive of Scottish Financial Enterprise, tells us whether Scotland's banks are lending - and whether the bonus culture survives.
