Suggestions of a tax on bankers, an important oil and gas discovery in the Arctic, hauliers could cut their insurance premiums, and Imperial Tobacco expect a fall in profits.

The Business Secretary has suggested a tax on bankers' pay and profits could be introduced if huge bonuses continued to be paid. We ask Ralph Silva, banking analyst for SRN, what the City will make of this.

It is estimated there could be more oil and gas under the Arctic ice than in the whole of the Middle East. We speak to our Moscow Correspondent, Richard Galpin.

A new scheme will allow hauliers to cut their insurance premiums by at least 25 per cent when their vehicles are not on the road. We ask Larry Smith, managing director at the brokers Towergate Risk Solutions, the company behind the new system, how it will work.

Imperial Tobacco is expected to see a fall in profits in its full year results. Russ Mould, editor of Shares Magazine, explains what problems the tobacco industry currently faces.
