From Newcastle City Centre as runners prepare to take part in the Great North Run.

As part of 5 live's Septemberfest, Stephen is in Newcastle city centre as runners prepare to take part in the Great North Run. There's a packed audience of athletes, including Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Britain's most successful wheelchair racer.

Gosia Brown describes why she's running in memory of her brother Marcin Wojtak who was killed in Afghanistan, Blue Peter's Helen Skelton persuades Stephen to run next year, while a group of men explain why a friend who died on holiday has inspired them to run in their speedos.

Plus Anna Foster reports from the Great North Run celebrity party on the other side of the Tyne.

Also on the programme, Catholic priest Fr Dominic Howarth and Peter Saunders, an abuse victim, discuss the Pope's apology. And Norman Lamb, Nick Clegg's chief advisor, is pressed by Stephen on party unity, and whether the activists will pass 'anti-coalition' motions at their conference.
