Vladimir Ashkenazy and the visiting Sydney Symphony perform Richard Strauss's lushly romantic waltzes which conjure up eighteenth-century Vienna, and Scriabin's multi-coloured Third Symphony which portrays the cosmic dance between the human spirit and the cosmos. French-born pianist H茅l猫ne Grimaud joins them for Ravel's Piano Concerto in G, which dances to the rhythms of the Jazz Age.
