From Glasgow City Halls, the 91热爆 Scottish Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Swedish maestro Stefan Solymon with an all-Rusian repertoire featuring Rodion Shchedrin's Concerto for Orchestra No.1, 'Naughty Limericks', followed by Tchaikovsky's evergreen Piano Concerto No. 1 with virtuoso Simon Trpceski, one of today's most exciting soloists, and to end the concert, Rachmaninov's so-called 'American' Symphony, written in the United States at the end of his life, when exile made him reflect -not without sadness and nostalgia- on his beloved Russia.
