Erland and The Carnival handpick the tracks for the Lunchtime playlist.

Formed by The Verve's Simon Tong, Erland & The Carnival area London based folk rock band, whose debut album was recorded in Damon Albarn's studio, Studio 13. The band is best known for their contemporary take on traditional British folk songs, but their original material has a sixties garage rock influence that creates a unique sound. The name Erland & TheCarnival comes from a Jackson C. Frank song, 'My Name is Carnival'. They pick this week's Lunchtime Playlist with tracks from Grinderman, LCD Soundsystem, Steve Miller Band and Bright Eyes.
