Foghlam tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig

Foghlam tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig
Tha foghlam tric ga ainmeachadh mar rud chudromach a thaobh a bhith leasachadh na Gàidhlig. Ach, cha cheumnaich am-bliadhna bhon oilthigh ach aon duine airson cuspair seach Gàidhlig a theagasg tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig aig ìre àrd-sgoil ann an Alba. Tha an suidheachadh anns na h-àrd-sgoiltean a' cuir dragh air cuid de eòlaichean nach eil an ìre de dh'fhoghlam sa Ghàidhlig a tha clann a' faighinn sa bhun-sgoil a' leantainn nuair a ghluaiseas iad gu àrd-sgoil. Tha Darren Linc a' faighneachd carson a tha sin, is dè tha e a' ciallachadh dhan chànan?

Darren Laing asks why this is, and what it means for Gaelic?

Pòsaidhean ann an Cìopras
Bidh tòrr dhaoine airson pòsadh thall thairis, ann an àite blàth 's breàgha mar Cìopras, ach airson cuid chan eil mòran roghainn aca. Anns na beagan bhliadhnaichean a dh'fhalbh tha barrachd 's barrachd dhaoine à dùthchannan an leithid Israel 's Lebanon air pòsadh ann, leis nach eil seirbheisean sìobhalta rim faotainn anns na dùthchannan aca fhèin. Tha na laghan seo air connspaid adhbharachadh 's bidh moladh a' dol mu choinneamh an Riaghaltas Israelach a dh'aithghearr gus iarraidh orra beachdachadh air cead a' thoirt do phòsaidhean sìobhalta.

Marriages in Cyprus

Many people choose to marry abroad, in warm and picturesque locations such as Cyprus. Others, however, don't have much choice. In the past few years there has been a rise in the number of people from countries such as Israel and Lebanon who choose to marry there, as civil ceremonies are not available in their own countries. These laws have proved controversial and a proposal to amend the current legislation to permit civil ceremonies is due to go before the Israeli Government.
