Iona convinces Ruth it's time for her to get a man, but when the dating game fails maybe Mr Right is just around the corner. Gina helps Eileen prepare a romantic meal for Murray.

Ruth's ready for a big night out when her pal ditches on her at the last minute. Deflated, it seems the next best offer is a drink with Gina and Eileen. There is some fun to be had in the Tall Ship as there's a speed dating night on. Iona ropes Ruth into attending, but clearly Iona's enjoying herself more than Ruth. Back at Gina's, Ruth allows her mum to put a profile of her on a dating website. The very next day she gets her first offer of a date.

Gordon is only too happy to squeeze Ruth in for a last-minute hairdo and the two strike up an easy relationship when she helps out in the salon. Ruth's delighted with her hair and Gordon reckons her date is a lucky man. Later, in Brochan Lom, it looks like Ruth's been stood up, and Gordon gallantly invites her join him, Robbie and Hayley on their night out. However Ruth's gorgeous internet date, Luke, turns up late and Gordon's crestfallen as the two get to know one another. While Luke is handsome, charming and interesting it soon becomes clear Ruth's got her mind on other things. So too does Gordon.

Finally, Ruth takes her date to the Tall Ship for a drink, but when Gordon arrives not long after it seems the game is up and Ruth politely tells Luke she doesn't think there's anything there. With Luke gone, Ruth and Gordon get on like a house on fire and before they know it, it's drinking up time. Gordon walks Ruth home and despite an initially awkward good night, they finally, tentatively kiss. This could be the start of something special...

Eileen tells Gina and Scarlett that she's planning to take the next step with Murray. It's sexy time and both Gina and Scarlett share a look - thanks for sharing! Eileen puts her plan into action by inviting him round for dinner, but Gina is raging when Eileen asks her to help out. Eileen has a busy day at the community centre and when the caterer pulls out she enlists Gina in some sandwich-making... Oh, and would she mind picking up the groceries for her romantic meal with Murray? Gina was always such a better cook. Gina soon finds herself cooking a romantic meal that she's never going to eat.

However, with Eileen running late, Murray turns up to find Gina in a bit of a mess as she completes the meal, but unperturbed, he suggests they have a glass of wine while they wait for Eileen. Time flies past and when it's clear the meal will be ruined if it isn't eaten now, Murray suggests they tuck in. They enjoy a lovely meal and are clearing away the dishes when Eileen enters. She's a bit put out, but hints to Gina to leave her alone with Murray so she can give him 'dessert'. Eileen is oblivious as Murray watches a humiliated Gina go. However, Eileen is more than a little confused when her advances on Murray aren't reciprocated and he makes his excuses and leaves.

Innes has a big boxing match coming up, yet he still finds time to wind Jennifer up and irritate Charlie. Innes makes it up to them with the offer of a special night out, but it's only when he passes out with a seizure in the flat that it's clear he shouldn't be fighting at all. Jennifer, Charlie and Joe wait impatiently at the community centre, assuming he's had a better offer and headed out for the night. Joe is livid and bans him from the gym. An alarmed Innes speaks to Marianne about his symptoms but he's rattled when she suggests he may have epilepsy, and will need further tests.

Innes seeks solace in the bottom of a bottle and, despite Joe and Charlie's best attempts to get through to him, Innes feels alone and frightened as he comes to terms with the possibility of having epilepsy.

A sad Lydia thinks she'll never see Lee again. Amber knows she has to do something, so she sets up a secret meeting with Lee. Amber gives Lee an ultimatum: visit Lydia or risk never seeing Amber, his sister, again. Lee surprises Lydia with his return, but no one is more surprised than Lenny.
