Thousands of people have been stranded overseas because of the collapse of the Scottish holiday firm Globespan. Council leaders are threatening to take legal action against the Glitnir, one of the first Icelandic banks to fail. And the US federal authorities are going after the computer chip maker Intel, accusing it of trying to squash the competition.
