In a concert given at Ulster Hall in Belfast, the Ulster Orchestra under John Lubbock perform works by Sibelius, Finzi and Malcolm Arnold.

With Sibelius' swans and a depiction of a grand castle in Karelia, contrasting with Finzi's passionate and lyrical Clarinet writing. The programme concludes with Malcolm Arnold's warm, affectionate and gripping Second Symphony, a pastoral work written to celebrate the diamond jubilee of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
