From Cadogan Hall, Countertenor Iestyn Davies and members of the Academy of Ancient Music with Richard Egarr continue the 350th anniversary celebrations of Purcell's birth.

The 2009 Chamber Prom series concludes with a tribute to Henry Purcell in his 350th anniversary year. The programme includes a sequence of his solo songs and keyboard pieces, concluding with his powerful Evening Hymn. There is also John Blow's Ode on the Death of Mr Henry Purcell, a moving response to Purcell's genius.
