The Prom concludes with renowned Shostakovich interpreter Semyon Bychkov conducting the 91热爆 Symphony Orchestra in the powerful and strikingly cinematic Symphony No 11, written in 1957. On the surface the work commemorates the failed anti-Tsarist uprising of 1905, but deep down it rages at the Soviet authorities.
