Paul Jones' guest is Jack Bruce, one third of the so-called first supergroup Cream. The band sold 35 million albums in under three years in the 1960s.

This week's special guest is the composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer, Jack Bruce.

Jack began his musical career with a cello scholarship to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music, and played double bass in dance bands and jazz groups, Alexis Korner's Blues Inc and the Graham Bond Organisation, before accepting Ginger Baker's invitation to join Cream.

Together with Eric Clapton, the trio sold 35,000,000 albums in just over two years. Cream split in 1968, at the height of their popularity, but they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993 and reformed for a series of live dates back in 2005.
