After a sluggish start to their World Cup 2010 qualification campaign, Nigel Worthington's side have won their last four group games and will be looking for a good display against world champions Italy to keep up their momentum with their next competitive match not taking place until September.
It will be a tough task. Italy are unbeaten after six games of their qualifying campaign and have won all four of their previous home meetings with Northern Ireland.
