Imogen Cooper/Britten Sinfonia

The Britten Sinfonia in Beethoven's Piano Concerto No 3, directed by Imogen Cooper (piano), and Webern's Five Movements for string orchestra and Haydn's Symphony No 88.

Known for her subtle and unflashy playing, driven by a strong technique and a sense of artistry, pianist Imogen Cooper continues her ongoing relationship with the Britten Sinfonia as she directs them as well being soloist in Beethoven's Piano Concerto No 3.

Britten Sinfonia leader Jacqueline Shave directs the orchestra in the other works on the programme: Webern's Five Movements for string orchestra, which was written in 1909, and Haydn's exuberant 88th Symphony.
