Petroc Trelawny introduces the RSNO in Berlioz: Carnival Overture; Brahms: Piano Concerto No 2 (with Steven Osborne, piano); and Roussel: Symphony No 1 (Poem of the Forest).

Petroc Trelawny introduces the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in a peformance given at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall, featuring Berlioz's energetic Roman Carnival Overture, followed by Brahms's brooding Second Piano Concerto. The concert concludes with a rare opportunity to hear the impressionistic First Symphony by Albert Roussel, a composer the RSNO have done much to publicise.
