At club level, it has been a successful season for England, with three clubs reaching the last four of the Champions League. But the national side will be not be present when the European Championship kicks off in less than a week's time. The Football Association has set new England manager Fabio Capello the target of reaching the 2010 World Cup semi-finals, so the Italian will need to settle on his preferred line-up as the autumn qualifying stages are looming. England and Trinidad and Tobago have met just once before - that meeting came in the group stages of the 2006 World Cup, where late goals from Peter Crouch and Steven Gerrard rescued England from what would have been an embarrassing draw against the Soca Warriors, the smallest country ever to qualify for the World Cup.
