Tom Service presents the second of two concerts from the Lufthansa Festival of Baroque Music given by the Ensemble Pierre Robert - a group known for its interpretations of French baroque music. With works occasioned by pauses in Louis XIV's many military campaigns including Lully's Idylle sur la paix and Brossard's Eucharistic prayer for peace, celebrating the joining of Strasbourg to the kingdom of France.
