Petroc Trelawny introduces a programme of Christmas choral music composed by two composers who were good friends and great admirers of each other's music: Benjamin Britten and Francis Poulenc. The concert, given at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, includes Poulenc's Little Prayers of St Francis of Assisi and Britten's Ceremony of Carols. Plus music by Maurice Durufle – four motets based on plainsong chants.
