Bob Marley felt spiritually attached to the second book of the Old Testament, and the struggle for freedom in it inspired him to write this, his most political album and Time Magazine's album of the 20th century.

In this programme we hear about the ideas and history that inspired the album. Now sampled by Bob's son Damian in his song Move, Exodus is still relevant to this day.
