Occupying centre stage today is the men's 400m final, where world and Olympic champion Jeremy Wariner goes in search of a new world record on the stadium's self-styled 'super-fast' track. Elsewhere, China's world record holder Liu Xiang will carry the hopes of a nation in the 110m hurdles final, while British javelin record holder Goldie Sayers will hope to be in the hunt for a medal in the women's javelin final. Other events include the women's triple jump final and 1500m semi-finals, the men's 800m semi-finals, and 4x100m relay first round, the women's 200m final, and the decathlon 400m.
