Heptathletes Kelly Sotherton and Jessica Ennis compete in their third event - the shot put - an event in which Sotherton has impressed in recent years. British hopes are also high for the women's 800m, with Jenny Meadows, Marilyn Okoro and Jemma Simpson aiming for Tuesday's final.
