Rhythm, Rap and Rhyme
A series exploring reading and writing poetry in all its diversity. Ben, Carys, Avigail and Leon are challenged to write a poem using rhythm and rhyme.
Four children are given a week off school and are taken to a farm in Devon for a week-long crash course in poetry writing.
Ben, Carys, Avigail and Leon are challenged to write a poem using rhythm and rhyme and to experiment with different rhyming patterns. Kat Francois is their poet in residence who is on hand to help them, and they also get a visit from poet Valerie Bloom, who reads one of her poems and gives them tips on how to write poetry. There are also poems on film from Nick Toczek and Paul Cookson to inspire them.
