Radio 1's Teen Awards 2019 winners

Want to know who won big at Radio 1's Teen Awards? Here's a round-up of the winners from the 11th annual star-studded ceremony as voted for you by.

This year's ceremony was hosted by Greg James and Maya Jama with performances from Yungblud, AJ Tracey and Jax Jones. You can watch highlights from the show on Saturday 30th November on 91Èȱ¬ Two at 4pm.

Radio 1's Teen Heroes were also celebrated and 91Èȱ¬ Young Sports Personality of the Year was also unveiled.

The Teen Heroes for 2019 are Hazel, Rachel and Scarlett!

Every year Radio 1 recognises amazing undiscovered Teen Heroes across the UK - these are young people nominated by you - who have shown outstanding courage and bravery and have made a difference in their community.

This year the award went to Hazel, Rachel and Scarlett and you can read their inspirational stories here.

Best British Rapper: Stormzy

Not only did Stormzy bag his first number-one single with Vossi Bop which clocked up 12.7 million listens in its debut week beating Taylor Swift to the top spot back in May, he then went on to become the first grime MC to headline Glastonbury in June. What's more Heavy is the Head - the follow up to his debut album, Gang Signs and Prayer - will drop on December 13th completing Stormzy's epic year.

Best International Solo Artist: Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande has seen the world this year. Her fourth concert tour, Sweetner, has seen the American singer take on over 100 shows. Not content with the world tour to end all world tours, she also took home two number ones this year with '7 Rings' and 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored'. In fact, 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored' dethroned '7 Rings' from the top spot and with that Grande became the first female artist to self-replace for two consecutive weeks.

Best British Singer: Lewis Capaldi

It has been non-stop for Lewis Capaldi since his debut album ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’ dropped in May. Not only did he take home his first UK and US Number One, but he even made his Glastonbury Other Stage debut dressed as Noel Gallagher. His walk-on routines have become a thing of viral legend following on from Radio 1’s Big Weekend. And now he is set to tour the UK and Ireland before the year is out.

Best Group: Little Mix

They have just wrapped their sixth concert tour - LM5: The Tour with two headline nights at London’s O2 Arena. Not to mention, they have also just released their first ever Christmas single, 'One I’ve Been Missing', but they already have their sights firmly set on 2020 as their own talent show, Little Mix The Search, will drop on 91Èȱ¬ One next year. As the group shot to fame on The X Factor back in 2011, they can’t wait to give the winner the opportunity to tour with them next summer.

Best Single: Lewis Capaldi ‘Someone You Loved’

It's not hard to see why worldwide streams of 'Someone You Loved' are approaching two billion. The single became Capaldi's first Number One and went on to top the UK chart for a massive seven consecutive weeks. It also scored the Scot his first US Number One on the Billboard Hot 100.

Best Film: Avengers Endgame

Avengers: Endgame was definitely one for the die-hard Marvel fans as the three-hour and two-minute movie tied 21 films together. It was definitely one to get you thinking too as it solved a few mysteries, complete with an all-star superhero cast starring Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).

Best TV Programme: Stranger Things

American sci-fi horror series Stranger Things has gathered quite the cult fan base since it first appeared on our screens in 2016. It returned with a highly anticipated third season this year which saw the gang dealing with the discovery that The Mind Flayer was still alive along with the usual unusual goings on around Hawkins.

Young Sports Personality Of The Year: Caroline Dubois

It's only England's most successful youth boxer! This year the Londoner became a national champion and took home gold at the Youth European Championships in Bulgaria.
