Download a scorecard for The Archers Anniversary Quiz

Your favourite publicans Kenton and Jolene Archer welcome you in to The Bull for their New Year’s Day Quiz!

Divided into three rounds of Food and Drink, Places and Sports and Leisure, the questions cover details about the residents of Ambridge and their ways of life.

Expert knowledge of The Archers is not required to take part. As well as having a go at the questions yourself, you can also listen to two specially selected teams as they go head-to-head on Kenton and Jolene's questions. With pencils sharpened and team names decided, The Herbal Leys and The Everyday Folk are ready to do battle. So, find yourself a table or help prop up the bar while these two teams compete for a lifetime's supply of either Shires Real Ale or Scruff Gin!

If you’d like to play along, you can download an answer sheet and keep a tally of your score. Good luck!

On the scorecard there is room to add your own team name (the more Archers inspired the better!) as well as a bonus question to answer. Share your scorecard with your personalised additions on or .

Meet the all-star teams

The Herbal Leys

Chris Aldridge: Chris has been listening to The Archers since Neil Carter was universally known as “young Neil”. (Ahem, not to highlight your age Chris but Neil is now a grandfather!)

Martha Kearney: An Archers cookbook has pride of place in Martha’s kitchen and she’s baked Nelson Gabriel’s Ginger Nuts* especially for this contest. Do help yourself as they are passed around the pub.

Jane Garvey: Jane was drawn into The Archers by Jolene’s famous (or should that be infamous?) shower scene with Sid Perks who went on to become her husband. There’s an awkward moment for Kenton!

The Everyday Folk

Bernadette Hawkes: A keen follower of The Archers, Bernadette inherited the programme from her mother who listened because it reminded her of the rural life she had as a child in Guyana.

Harriet Carmichael: Harriet loves The Archers so much she creates her own version! In her , Harriet impressively impersonates many of Ambridge’s well-known residents.

Gary Gilday: Gary runs and has been on Mastermind. His specialist subject wasn’t The Archers but with this elite quiz experience he’s a strong contender. *He’s adamantly not going anywhere near Nelson Gabriel’s Ginger Nuts!

L-R The Herbal Leys: Jane Garvey, Chris Aldridge, Martha Kearney (on the screen The Everyday Folk: Gary Gilday, Bernadette Hawkes, Harriet Carmichael)
