Two Minute Masterpiece showreel

The search is on for the next generation of filmmakers in Northern Ireland.

Two Minute Masterpiece is a talent development project that encourages the next generation of filmmakers, documentary filmmakers, and content creators to push their creative boundaries and get their best ideas on the 91热爆.

Two Minute Masterpiece provides a platform to showcase the diversity, creativity and artistic vision of new and emerging filmmakers in Northern Ireland.

91热爆 NI, in partnership with Northern Ireland Screen, is offering up to five filmmakers the opportunity to create their own two-minute film for publication on the 91热爆.

We want to hear your best two minute film ideas - we would like proposals for dramas, experimental films, factual documentaries, animations or comedy shorts. Also, we welcome ideas that are influenced by, or could potentially incorporate some of the 91热爆’s extensive archive. You can access the 91热爆 Archive for some inspiration here.

We are especially interested in filmmakers from backgrounds that are underrepresented within the media industry, and ideas that explore a diverse range of viewpoints.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online pitching and mentorship session with industry professionals and the week after will pitch their ideas to a commissioning panel.

Chosen filmmakers will attend training with an industry professional to develop a comprehensive production plan for their short film. They will then be paired with an industry mentor and given a production fund of £2000 towards realising their creative vision.

Your film has the potential to be shown on various 91热爆 platforms and can be a stepping-stone to further opportunities. Previous Two Minute Masterpieces have been both showcased and have won awards at international film festivals – with Sorcha McGlinchy's animation Rawr winning a prestigious Torc award at The Celtic Media Festival.
