Give a laptop
Not all children have access to the technology they need to continue learning from home and even when every pupil in Northern Ireland is able to return to the classroom, the need for laptops and tablets will still be there. Give A Laptop puts people with spare technology in touch with companies and charities who can help us achieve our aim of getting devices to children.
There are a range of organisations online who can help. Some charities can collect, wipe and share the laptops all in one; some can help take your devices off your hands to fix them ready for distribution; some are collecting donations to help fund devices for pupils; some are local to specific areas and some are nationwide, both across Northern Ireland and the UK.
In addition, we’re also now putting schools in touch with organisations who can provide dongles for children who don’t have access to wifi or 4G. We’re aware that the challenges can be much more than just having access to devices, so can assist with connectivity.
